Tour of the National Museum of the American Indian

Saturday, February 24 at 10 a.m.

As part of the Season for Nonviolence and in an effort to learn more an understand other cultures, Unity of Fairfax has set up a guided tour of the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. After the tour you'll have an opportunity to dine on a wide array of authentic native foods at the museum's cafeteria.

The National Museum of the American Indian houses one of the world’s largest and most diverse collections of its kind. The museum’s sweeping curvilinear architecture, its indigenous landscaping, and its exhibitions, all designed in collaboration with tribes and communities from across the hemisphere, combine to give visitors from around the world the sense and spirit of Native America.

Registration is free but limited to only 40 people, those who sign up must be at the Museum by 10 a.m. for admission. Please note, Unity of Fairfax will not be providing transportation to this event. We strongly recommend you carpool with someone as the museum does not have its own parking. Parking is availble by meter on the streets surrounding the museum as well as nearby paid parking garages.
